It all begins with a reference point, I work closely with a client to define key references for the project. This can be the space in which the piece(s) will reside in, a particular colour palette or a piece of art.

The next stage is to refine the initial ideas and references. Building a colour palette and starting to develop a sense of the composition of the commission using watercolours.

Once the colour palette and the composition has been defined, the many steps required to create the piece begins. All processes are done by hand, including the dyeing of all yarns. With any piece of work, the final composition is created instinctively on the loom.
