The Bide

I was lucky enough to get out of London for a few days last month and finally plan a trip to Dorset to stay in a wonderful little cabin called The Bide.

Conceived and built (by hand I might add!) by my good friend Caroline, and her partner Scott, an architect, the beautifully designed cabin is situated on a working farm in Dorset. You cant help but immerse yourself in nature, waking up to the sound of farm animals and looking out of the large square window that perfectly frames the scenic views around the cabin. The cabin has been thoughtfully decorated by former The Conran Shop buyer Caroline, with sustainability in mind, it was my first time using a waterless toilet (no smells!) and a vapourised water shower.

As well as spending time in the local area of Milton Meadow and the nearby village of Milton Abbas, I just about had time to explore other areas of Dorset, visiting Weymouth, and the Isle of Portland. It was lovely to be by the sea, it always makes me feel calm and the the weather was beautiful. It was the perfect little break to recharge my batteries.
