Collect 2023

There was a mad rush leading up to Collect 2023, finishing new work as well as organising my first photoshoot with the amazing stylist Emma Shipley and equally fantastic photographer James Champion.  Being able to photograph my new work before it was shipped off to Cavaliero Finn Gallery was a culmination of a lot of hard work.     It was a relief to finish the pieces in time, I was so exhausted by the end, juggling studio time and family time, that I didn’t have the energy to attend, which was a real shame.  

The show looked great, beautifully curated by Debra and Juliana and I was so happy my work was well received. A surprise pick as one of Galerie Magazines standout objects at this year’s fair was the cherry on top.

The pieces were an exploration of the primary colours yellow, red, and blue. Working with these colours, the colours of which all other colours are made, was a personal challenge.
